Gather Rounds
An ongoing series of hyper-local networking nights, gathering local artists, presenters and stakeholders from across Queensland — one community at a time.
Enough emails that go unread.
Sometimes, you just need to talk it out in a room.
Timed to coincide with a local arts festival in the region, Gather Rounds invite artists, producers, presenters, community leaders, local government, and other stakeholders to share a drink on us.
Over an evening of laid-back networking, Gather Rounds are about dropping the formalities to help foster relationships within the community, and spark conversations that can drive projects forward.
Whether you're seeking advice, happy to share your experience, or just looking to catch up with peers, Gather Rounds encourage everyone from makers to audiences to exchange ideas, share challenges, and celebrate successes — both with each other and the QTouring team.

Gather Round: Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF)
In collaboration with the 2026 Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) - come raise a glass to this powerful celebration of Reclamation & Regeneration, culture, and connection at QTouring’s ‘Gather Round’ - a free, hyper-local networking night for artists, producers, and presenters from across Gimuy/Cairns and surrounds.
Hosted at The Tanks Art Centre, this laid-back afternoon is all about fostering connections and sparking creative collaborations across the performing arts sector. Skip the formalities, enjoy a round or two on us, and engage with fellow creatives in meaningful conversations that can drive your next big project forward.
Timed to coincide with CIAF, this edition of Gather Round celebrates Reclamation & Regeneration, bringing together performance, visual art, music and a collective gathering on Country. In its 17th season, CIAF brings together an extraordinary collective of approximately 350 Art Fair Showcase exhibitors and Artisans Showcase participants.
Founded in 2009, CIAF has grown into Australia’s leading First Nations-led art fair and cultural gathering, recognised for its ethical art marketplace, curatorial rigour and deep grassroots grounding. Returning to the iconic Tanks Arts Centre, CIAF 2026 will transform the botanical precinct from 9–12 July with an expansive program of visual art, performance, music, fashion, talks, masterclasses and large-scale cultural activations.
Meet the QTouring team and discuss the challenges and opportunities you face touring beyond the region, and vice versa, bringing touring work into your region.
After Gather Round, keep the night going with the art fair and fashion performances that breathe life across the CIAF program. So come along, grab that person you’ve always wanted to speak to and say g’day, or come and welcome those who are stepping into the sector for the first time.
Check out the full CIAF program and discover extraordinary First Nations art here.
