Gather Rounds
An ongoing series of hyper-local networking nights, gathering local artists, presenters and stakeholders from across Queensland — one community at a time.
Enough emails that go unread.
Sometimes, you just need to talk it out in a room.
Timed to coincide with a local arts festival in the region, Gather Rounds invite artists, producers, presenters, community leaders, local government, and other stakeholders to share a drink on us.
Over an evening of laid-back networking, Gather Rounds are about dropping the formalities to help foster relationships within the community, and spark conversations that can drive projects forward.
Whether you're seeking advice, happy to share your experience, or just looking to catch up with peers, Gather Rounds encourage everyone from makers to audiences to exchange ideas, share challenges, and celebrate successes — both with each other and the QTouring team.

Presented by QTouring, Queensland’s statewide touring service, Gather Round: Clancestry is a relaxed afternoon of conversation and connection for artists, producers, and presenters from across Magandjin (Brisbane) and surrounds.
Hosted in the Playhouse Lounge at QPAC, this laid-back evening is all about fostering connections and sparking creative collaborations across the performing arts sector. Skip the formalities, enjoy a round or two on us, and engage with fellow creatives in meaningful conversations that can drive your next big project forward
Timed to coincide with Clancestry, this edition of Gather Round celebrates First Nations arts and culture during one of QPAC’s most beloved festivals. Since 2013, Clancestry has showcased powerful storytelling through concerts, workshops, theatre, children’s programming, and more — spotlighting both trailblazers and emerging voices in First Nations performance.
Clancestry is more than headline performances. It’s a festival for everyone, with a vibrant suite of free events designed to bring people together, ensuring the festival is as accessible as it is inspiring.
Meet the QTouring team and discuss the challenges and opportunities you face touring beyond the region, and vice versa, bringing touring work into your region.
After Gather Round, keep the night going with a discounted ticket to The Visitors in the Playhouse Theatre, or head to the Melbourne Street Green for Black History Month: HERstory | HIStory, featuring some of our finest local First Nations artists.
So come along, grab that person you’ve always wanted to speak to and say g’day, or come and welcome those who are stepping into the sector for the first time.
