Croydon has a strong heritage tourism base and a community that values music, history and creative learning. We are interested in programming acoustic concerts, spoken word or storytelling performances, theatre, First Nations cultural works, children’s theatre and hands-on creative workshops. Our long-term goal is to develop a consistent arts calendar that supports community wellbeing, provides access to quality touring arts, and encourages audiences to try new artforms. We also hope to strengthen Croydon’s identity as a welcoming regional arts destination.

Croydon’s audiences include local families, seniors, school groups and visitors travelling through during the tourist season (April–October). Attendance is strongest when arts events align with community activities such as the Heritage Festival, the Chinese Temple Site events, and seasonal tourism peaks. We aim to grow audiences by linking touring shows with local history programs, school engagement, and festival weekends. Partnerships with regional events and neighbouring towns could further strengthen participation.
