Overview
The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) is a council-run facility, managed by Mackay Regional Council. It is recognised as the largest purpose-built convention centre between Cairns and Brisbane, making it a central hub for major performances, conferences, and events in regional Queensland.
The MECC is located close to the Mackay City Centre, right beside Artspace Mackay, giving it a prominent position within the town’s cultural and civic precinct. This central location makes it easily accessible for both locals and visitors, reinforcing its role as a key gathering place for the community.
