The MECC Plenary Halls are a highly adaptable, multipurpose space designed to host everything from gala dinners, award ceremonies, cabaret and theatre performances through to trade shows, conferences, and large-scale community events. Over the years, the halls have transformed to accommodate a wide variety of setups, from the popular 'Footy Show' and elegant sit-down banquets, to children’s theatre and casual gatherings.

With their open-plan design, the halls can be styled with chairs, banquet tables, or even picnic rugs, giving organisers complete flexibility. As the space is fully indoors, air-conditioned, and weather-proof, it provides year-round comfort and reliability for both audiences and event hosts. This versatility ensures the Plenary Halls remain one of the MECC’s most dynamic and in-demand venues, capable of delivering memorable experiences for audiences of all sizes and styles.
