About the work

Back Track Tour 2025: Bold. Unapologetic. Unstoppable. Taking world-class circus, cabaret, and drag to the heart of regional Australia.

The Briefs Backtrack Tour 2025 is an ambitious national tour bringing bold, high-energy circus, cabaret, and drag performances to regional and remote communities across Australia. Following the success of its pilot program in Western Australia, this tour will expand the reach of Briefs Factory's electrifying performances, celebrating inclusivity, diversity, and self-expression. With shows designed for diverse venues—from theatres and town halls to outdoor stages and community spaces—the tour will engage audiences through workshops, artist talks, and community outreach activities.

The project aims to break down barriers by delivering world-class performances to areas with limited access to live arts, fostering cultural connection and providing opportunities for engagement in isolated regions. Alongside the performances, a documentary series will capture the journey, highlighting the transformative impact of the arts in regional Australia and showcasing the challenges and rewards of touring non-traditional, queer-led work.

The Backtrack Tour represents a long-term commitment to regional arts engagement, building sustainable relationships with venues, councils, and community groups. By investing in local connections and showcasing the power of live performance, the tour will lay the foundation for continued growth, inclusion, and access to transformative cultural experiences across the country.
