“Taking inspiration from Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland and Kipo and the Age of the
Wonderbeasts, Eat Slay Zombie is a fast-paced, action-filled coming-of-age story,” says
playwright Alinta McGrady. “It utilises a cinematic zombie apocalypse to represent colonial
occupation, while exploring modern Blak and queer experiences, and presenting the
historically marginalised as heroes in a dangerous world.”
