Emma-June Curik is a dynamic theatre-maker, performer, advocate and access consultant based on Kombumerri Country (Gold Coast).

Her performance work is grounded in authenticity, humour, and heart, with recent credits including her debut solo cabaret 'Sleep and the City' (Undercover Artist Festival) and 'Dis-Co Ball' (Sprung! Dance Theatre).

With musical theatre training from NIDA and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) from QUT, she brings a vibrant stage presence and a deep understanding of storytelling to every project. Emma-June has performed alongside industry icons including Rob Guest, Julie Anthony, and Stuart Wagstaff, and has a rich history in theatre for young people and theatre-in-education, touring extensively across Australia.

Equally at home behind the scenes, Emma-June is an experienced creative producer, having worked with major organisations such as HOTA, Queensland Music Festival, and Placemakers* Gold Coast, as well as independently with Aha Ensemble—a disability-led collective creating bold contemporary performance.

She has significant experience working with d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent communities, and is passionate about designing and delivering meaningful access strategies that support both artists and audiences.

DISABILITY COMMUNITY
As a disability-led work, engaging with the d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent communities in and around your venue is important to us.

We can work with venues to provide access accommodating performances of the show including: Auslan-interpreting, captioning, audio-description, relaxed performances and more.

LOCAL ARTISTS
The show is best performed with 3 backing vocalists (the 'Jimmy Choos'), who can be sourced locally. Preparation for the show would be done remotely and then staging taught the day before the performance. The role is suited to emerging vocalists with soprano/alto ranges.
