About the work

Weave your web and make your mark!

Rachel Burke's Fancy Long Legs is a brand new glittery and vibrant musical adventure based on a new children’s book by international tinsel and craft icon Rachel Burke, adapted for stage by Naomi Price with original songs by Waveney Yasso and directed by Courtney Stewart.

Fancy is a spider who loves to create but struggles to stay focused on her creative task of web-building. With the support of her Spiderling friends, she embarks on a journey to find her own style and make something no one else can. This dazzling all-ages production takes a wholesome and relatable look at neurodivergence with a heartwarming message of acceptance, staying true to yourself and finding friends who love you and celebrate your differences.

Fancy Long Legs is a pioneering accessible stage production that celebrates neurodiversity and facilitates meaningful discourse about invisible disabilities, with an enriching message of belonging and community connection at its core. This music-driven page-to-stage adaptation celebrates the different ways that we see and move through the world, while setting a new benchmark for welcoming, safe, and inclusive theatre for the whole family to enjoy!
