About the work

A powerful fusion of breaking, music, and storytelling, unveiling resilience, identity, and hope amidst chaos

Harmony Amidst Destruction is a high-impact theatrical dance performance blending breaking, contemporary movement, and live music to tell a deeply emotional story of resilience. Inspired by the Beirut Port explosion of 2020, the show follows two Middle Eastern dancers, Roj and Ralph Kabalan, as they navigate the chaos of war, displacement, and rebuilding their lives in a new country.

Through intense physicality and raw expression, the performance captures the destruction of identity, the struggle of forced migration, and the power of art as a means of survival. It is both visually striking and emotionally gripping, leaving audiences deeply moved.

The show has received overwhelming responses, with audiences brought to tears, feeling personally connected to the themes of hardship and hope. More than just a performance, Harmony Amidst Destruction is an experience—one that sparks conversation and fosters understanding.

As part of the tour, we also offer workshops and panel talks that expand on the show’s themes. These interactive sessions provide deeper insight into breaking as an art form, the creative process behind the performance, and discussions on identity, resilience, and cultural displacement. This touring production is ideal for festivals, theaters, and cultural venues looking to present innovative and socially relevant performances.
