Welcome artists, producers and presenters to Queensland's Showcase.
New name, new venue and a new schedule — but the same mission... to craft a bright future of touring opportunities across Queensland.
Last year's CONNECT conference marked the first Queensland arts showcase in two years, as well as the official unveiling of QTouring, Queensland's new arts touring service. This year, QTouring is excited to present the inaugural QShowcase Arts Market and Conference in partnership with Stage Queensland through Arts Queensland.
It is a big job to live up to the standard of previous showcases, but with a whole extra day in the program there's more conversations to be had, connections to be formed, artwork to be performed and ideas to be shared. With the support of our members, our sponsors, the venue staff and the sector, we are delighted to be delivering what we know will be an insightful three days of programming.
We have been truly blessed with the quality of works put forward to showcase, it was nearly impossible for the panel to decide which to include in the program. So, in between the superb theatre, dance, music, circus and more that you will be seeing as part of our formal proceedings, we encourage you to dive into a conversation with the stranger next to you and peruse the Locals Expo on Tuesday to uncover even more outstanding artists.
So welcome, to the familiar faces and many new ones, we are so glad you could join us at The Empire, Toowoomba. We look forward to sharing together new ideas, exciting art and great company. And before you go, make sure you connect with us – there’s plenty more to come for touring and engagement in Queensland…
